I’m pleased to have a long poem about lightning and grief in the most recent issue of Barrow Street, alongside a staggering list of incredible poets, ten of whom have names that start later in the alphabet than my own!
I’m thrilled to have had new poems chosen for second place in the Tucson Festival of Books Literary Awards, and look forward to taking part in the festival March 11-13, 2018. Huge thanks to Mary Jo Bang for her kind words about my work. Dickinson-esque(!?) Swoon.
Check out lovely writing accompanied by gorgeous artwork in the current issue of RADAR. Many thanks to editors Rachel Marie Patterson and Dara-Lyn Shrager for including a series of my poems as finalists for the Coniston Prize.
Best American Poetry is here, with a gorgeous, heartbreaking introduction by Natasha Trethewey. So honored to have a poem in these pages alongside many of my poetry idols, not to mention thrilled to be part of the launch reading at the New School on September 28th. Come join us if you’re in NYC!

This issue is packed full of incredible poems! Plus a few of mine. Enjoy!

Still in disbelief that the brilliant Natasha Trethewey has chosen my poem, Dear Skull, for inclusion in Best American Poetry 2017. Thank you to the Georgia Review for publishing the poem first!
I’m honored to once again have poems named finalists for the Pablo Neruda Prize for Poetry. This publication is especially significant for me, because this is the first time poems for my dear friend Michael Henson, who died four years ago this month, have made their way into the wider world. 2015 has also been a year of much loss, and with the recent news of the passing of the brilliant Lucia Perillo, I am grateful for the role, however small, that words can play in the hard work of coming to grips with death.

Many thanks to the Georgia Review for featuring my poem, Dear Skull, which won the 2015 Loraine Williams Poetry Prize! Head on over to get your hands on a copy, and enjoy incredible work by Rita Dove, Pattiann Rogers, Natasha Tretheway, and more!
So honored and inspired to have particpated in a 14 day poetry/ visual collabration with the incredible Sonja Dahl! Check it out starting March 17th.
