Join poet and circus artist Emily Van Kley and performance icon Marlo Winter (aka Eda Begadix) April 5-12, 2025, for a retreat that brings together the magic of creative writing with aerial arts! At Sweet Retreats in gorgeous Puerto Escondido, Mexico, writers will enjoy time for focused work with a view of the ocean, along with daily introductory to aerial acrobatics lessons to encourage generative play, camaraderie and embodiment. Aerialists will meet for daily act creation lessons, utilizing games and guided experimentation to develop an aerial act around an artistic purpose and message, as well as creative writing sessions to explore topics such as voice, character, and pacing.
