Following the selection of “Vital Signs” on Poetry Daily, I purchased The Cold and the Rust and I’m very pleased that I did. I find myself increasingly drawn to work that springs from hard conditions, such as poems by Michael Chitwood, Clea Roberts and Karen Solie.
